FlavorWiki is a consumer and product understanding platform that combines advanced software solutions with rigorous market research methodologies to create leading AI driven insights for the Food & Beverage Industry. Bootstrapped since 2017 by Stanford GSB leaders, we are a fast growing, 50 person company with offices in Switzerland and Lahore, Pakistan. As well as remote professionals in the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Our client base includes some of the largest international CPG companies in the world, and we are looking for a strategic Senior Business Development Lead to take our growth to the next level, with a focus on North America.
This is a hands-on, leadership-track role ideal for a candidate with strong commercial instincts, experience in consumer insights, and a passion for innovation in market research. You will work closely with operations, research, and tech teams, and engage directly with senior decision-makers. Key Responsibilities:
– Lead global business development initiatives, prioritizing North America while supporting international growth.
– Manage and execute outbound campaigns (email, events, content) to generate qualified leads and enterprise opportunities.
– Use CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce) to track pipeline, automate outreach, and report performance.
– Work closely with operations, research, and tech teams to align customer needs.
– Engage directly with senior stakeholders at global Consumer Packaged Goods companies, innovation hubs, and strategic partners.
– Help shape commercial strategy, pricing, and customer segmentation.
– Represent FlavorWiki at industry conferences, partner events, and global forums.
Requirements:
– 8–12 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, partnerships, or enterprise sales
– Experience in consumer insights, product research, data analytics, or a related field (e.g., experience at firms like Nielsen, Ipsos, GfK, or equivalent)
– Proven track record of outbound sales execution and CRM-based pipeline management
– Demonstrated ability to engage enterprise clients and close high-value deals
– Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, or data science as applied to product innovation or consumer behavior
– International mindset and experience working across cultures and time zones
– Executive presence and excellent communication skills
– MBA or advanced degree is welcome but not required if equivalent leadership and industry experience are demonstrated
– Foreign languages (Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean) are a plus.
Remote Work Requirements:
– Availability to work during European or US business hours, with occasional local in-person meetings.
– Frequent travel to head office in Zürich, Switzerland, and operational centers in Asia, as well as client visits and trade fairs. This role will spend up to four months of the year either at the head office with the CEO (approx. 60 days), in the operational center with the development and operations team (approx. 5-10 days), or on client visits and trade fairs (approx. 40-50 days).
