Advertising research is a form of market research that helps to develop, test and improve the efficacy of advertising campaigns.
Advertising research techniques may include surveys, qualitative research, behavioural research, A/B testing and other observational and analytics based methods.
Research can be used to help generate and refine create ideas, concepts or advertising scripts; to assess the effectiveness of ad copy, imagery, to placement; and to measure advertising performance by modelling the relationship between ad impact and sales or long term brand performance.
