Oli Mival is VP of Product Strategy, Innovation & Experience at Picsart, the creative platform with 150M+ monthly users, where he leads the intersection of product, design, and research in an era of AI-native creativity. With nearly 30 years of experience spanning academia, consultancy, and industry, Oli brings a perspective that sits squarely across both the UX and insights worlds.
He holds a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Edinburgh Napier University, where he directed the Future Interactions Group for nearly two decades, publishing 50+ papers and securing over £9M in research funding. Before Picsart, he built and led user research at Skyscanner, scaling a culture of user-centred, evidence-driven thinking across the organisation.
A regular keynote speaker at events including Web Summit and Advertising Week, Oli is a passionate advocate for research-led product strategy and the democratisation of creative and analytical tools — making him ideally placed to speak to what UX and market research can learn from each other.
