Tim Treagus

Tim Treagus is the co-founder and CEO of Yazi, an AI-moderated research platform running interviews with consumers across 15+ African and emerging markets. He founded Yazi in 2022 and now spends most of his time on the methodology of AI-moderated research: how to design the interview, engineer the prompt, and get honest, useful data at scale. His team’s work benchmarking large language models for research analysis won the Kantar Innovation Award at SAMRA, and Yazi’s studies on subjects from gambling harm to fuel sentiment have been covered by TechCabal, News24 and TimesLIVE. He is most interested in the questions AI interviewing makes possible that were never possible before.
