Whisker had developed a beta version of its fourth-generation Litter-Robot and needed to understand how it performed in real homes before launch. The company wanted to observe both owners and their cats using the product to uncover usability issues, technical bugs and opportunities for improvement. Whisker partnered with incling to capture real-world feedback and optimise both the device and app before release.
incling facilitated a one-week online research community on incling’s continuous research platform for 200 beta testers who had received trial units. Participants documented the unboxing and setup process using photos and videos before sharing in-the-moment feedback as they and their cats used the product throughout the week. Whisker’s development team could also engage directly with participants on the platform, investigating technical issues and responding to feedback as it emerged.
The research gave Whisker clear, actionable insight into improvements for both the Litter-Robot hardware and companion app before launch. By identifying issues in real home environments, incling helped Whisker refine the product, resolve usability challenges and deliver a more reliable customer experience.
