Samuel Cohen

Samuel Cohen is the founder and CEO of Fairgen, a generative AI company focused on consumer research. He studied mathematics at Imperial College London, graduating with first class honours, before completing a distinction-level MSc in Statistical Science at Oxford. He then undertook a PhD in machine learning at UCL, during which he spent the majority of his research time at Facebook AI Research Labs working on generative modelling, optimal transport and imitation learning. His work from that period contributed to foundational models now used in mainstream image and video generation.

He founded Fairgen in 2022, bringing his background in synthetic data to the market research industry. The company works with large research agencies and directly with enterprise brands to apply synthetic data augmentation and digital twin approaches to foundational and directional research. Samuel is also a mentor at Techstars.
